Tuesday recommend dance is Ramayana of Bina Remaja. The epic 'Ramayana' of India consists about 24,000 pages of adventure tale; the prince Rama’s full of ups and downs life. In the 2nd century, the poet Walmiki edited the story as in present, and it was diffused to Indonesia and Bali.
The story starts from the scene that Prince Rama is banished from Ayodya country by the snare of his stepmother on the day before his enthronement, and he arrives at the forest of Dandaka with his wife Shita and his brother Laksmana. Satan Rahwana is attracted by beautiful Shita, and he orders his retainer to kidnap Shita. The highlight scene is that Rahwamafs retainer transforms into the golden deer and tempts Shita. Shita is trapped and kidnapped to Alengka kingdom by Rahwana. Rama looks for Shita, and he knows from God Bird Garuda that Shita is in Alengka kingdom. Rama has God Monkey Hanoman as his ally and sends him to the kingdom with his ring. Hanoman arrives at Alengka kingdom, gives the ring to Shita and receives her hair ornament instead. It is the other highlight scene that Hanoman fights against Rahwanafs retainers. After a while, Prince Ramafs army also arrives at there and fight against Alengka kingdom and win. The story is the happy ending that Rama can meet Shita again. |
